The ad, displayed on a wall by Nandi Aqua Industries, featured a confusing tagline that read, “Now Water With H2O.” Sharing the picture on X (formerly Twitter), Mr Rupanagudi humourously wrote in the caption, “Wonder what were we drinking till now!” This unexpected headline left many bewildered, as H2O is, in fact, the chemical formula for water.

The internet found itself amused and puzzled, attempting to decode the tagline. One user commented, “Water (H2O) does contain a small amount of D2O (heavy water). Perhaps this company is claiming to have removed all traces of D2O?”

Another user added, “We were drinking ordinary water. This one is fortified with H2O. Ah, the marvels of modern technology!!”

A clever comment emerged, “Thank God, they didn’t say H2O2,” which is the chemical formula for hydrogen peroxide, known for its antiseptic properties, but can cause skin irritation, burns, and other adverse effects if not used properly.

A user humorously remarked, “We were drinking heavy water. Going forward, they will use it only for nuclear power plants.”
